Chat Guidelines & Moderation Policy

At Foontro, we believe that clear and respectful communication between clients and freelancers is essential for successful collaboration. To maintain a safe, transparent, and professional environment, all conversations on the Foontro platform must comply with the rules and guidelines below. By using the Foontro chat system, you agree to follow these guidelines and understand that violations may result in warnings, restrictions, or permanent account suspension.

1. Chat Monitoring and Moderation

Foontro may monitor and review conversations on the platform to maintain safety, prevent fraud, and enforce platform policies. Monitoring may occur in the following situations:

  • To detect attempts to bypass the Foontro payment system
  • To investigate suspicious behavior or fraud
  • To respond to user complaints or disputes
  • To ensure compliance with Foontro's platform rules
  • To maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users

Foontro administrators may review messages if the system detects policy violations or if a user reports a conversation. This monitoring is strictly performed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and service quality improvement.

2. Transparency and Fair Communication

Foontro encourages transparent and professional communication between clients and freelancers. Users should use the chat to:

  • Discuss project details
  • Clarify requirements
  • Share project updates
  • Provide feedback
  • Coordinate delivery timelines
  • Ask questions related to the project

Clear communication helps ensure projects are completed smoothly and successfully.

3. Prohibited Activities in Chat

To protect both freelancers and clients, certain activities are strictly prohibited within Foontro's messaging system.

a. Sharing External Contact Information

Sharing or requesting personal contact details is not allowed. This includes:

  • Phone numbers
  • WhatsApp numbers or links
  • Telegram IDs
  • Email addresses
  • Social media handles
  • External messaging platforms

All communication should remain on the Foontro platform until the project is completed.

b. Attempting to Bypass the Platform

Users are strictly prohibited from arranging payments outside Foontro. This includes:

  • Asking clients to pay via UPI, bank transfer, or cash outside Foontro
  • Offering discounts for off-platform payments
  • Encouraging users to move the project outside the platform

These actions violate Foontro policies and may result in account suspension.

c. Sending Spam or Unsolicited Messages

Users must not send:

  • Promotional messages
  • Repeated unsolicited offers
  • Irrelevant messages unrelated to the project
  • Mass messages to multiple users

Chat should only be used for legitimate project communication.

d. Harassment or Abusive Behavior

Foontro maintains a respectful and professional environment. Users must not engage in:

  • Harassment or threats
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Offensive language
  • Bullying or intimidation

Respectful communication is required at all times.

e. Sharing Illegal or Harmful Content

Users must not share content that is:

  • Illegal or fraudulent
  • Misleading or harmful
  • Copyright-infringing
  • Explicit or inappropriate

Any such content will be removed immediately.

4. Automated Detection System

Foontro uses automated systems to detect attempts to violate chat policies. These systems may identify:

  • Phone numbers and email addresses
  • External links and contact details
  • Suspicious phrases related to off-platform payments

If such activity is detected, the system may:

  • Display a warning message
  • Block the message
  • Temporarily restrict chat access
  • Flag the account for review
